LCD panels are extremely delicate. Panels can be less than the thickness of an eggshell. Therefore, they are easily damaged. The bigger the screen, the more vulnerable it is.  Once a crack occurs, there is no way to repair the panel other than to replace it – which is cost prohibitive. The TV cannot be repaired.

How to transport a TV

Flat panel TV’s are best transported upright, NOT flat. If you can only transport the TV laying on it’s back, be sure to put plenty of padding underneath and always secure the TV for a minimum of movement. The larger the TV the easier the panel can crack.
